Don’t miss your chance to spend a very special evening seeing Mirusia Louwerse and her special guest Sam Moran.
“I feel very proud to have been the person who gave Mirusia the possibility to start her career. After working five years with this incredibly talented soprano I can only wish her all the luck she deserves in her solo career” -André Rieu.

"The two-and-a-half-hour (including intermission) evening included perennial favourites, including Johann Strauss II's lilting Voices of Spring and Viennese Blood performed with elegant grace. The Skaters' Waltz, with its gorgeous projected backdrop of an old-fashioned ice rink, elicited audible oohs from the crowd, surpassed only by Thomas Koschat's Snowwaltz that included a large dump of "snow" on the audience. As a consummate showman, Rieu set up each selection with his customary wit, quipping frequently about how he dreamt every night of performing in Winnipeg.
Australian soprano Mirusia Louwerse's crystal clear Don't Cry for Me, Argentina, from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita, became another highlight."

Rieu's 'electrical' performance
"An hour-long electrical storm over Suncorp Stadium last night only added to the drama of middle-aged heart-throb Andre Rieu's first Brisbane concert.
The crowd of about 20,000 mostly over 50s fans clapped, waltzed and sang well into the night alongside the populist Dutch maestro in the most unusual display of unbridled enthusiasm by a classical music audience.
A tribute to the late Luciano Pavarotti by Rieu's own trio of tenors had the crowd in raptures early, while ice skaters in ballgowns, twirling debutantes and a singing "angel" suspended from the ceiling of the faux Viennese castle kept the spectacles coming.
But it was 23-year-old Brisbane soprano and Rieu's tourmate Mirusia Louwerse who stole the spotlight - and the lion's share of applause - with a soaring rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from his Phantom of the Opera.
Decked out in a floor-length red sequinned number, she looked and sounded every inch the diva before leading the audience in a chant of "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, oi, oi, oi" - fitting, given the sporting backdrop.
She reurned for an operatic take on "Botany Bay", a folk number, Rieu confided to his adoring fans, that had moved him to tears the first time his young protege let rip with it."
Mirusia hits a high note with Dame Joan Award win BIRKDALE soprano Mirusia Louwerse will head off to Europe and America next year on an opera "audition tour" after winning the $10,000 Dame Joan Sutherland Award this month.
Twenty one-year-old Mirusia won the award, named in honour of the famous Australian opera star, after beating six older and more experienced finalists at the finals at the Good Shepherd Lutheran College in Noosa.
"I was the baby of the group. I was in disbelief – in shock. I was speechless. This is something I've always really wanted to win," she said.
The award was particularly auspicious as this year marks Dame Joan's 80th birthday.
Mirusia finishes her music degree at the Queensland Conservatorium this year and said she would be promoting her CD, recorded recently with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, while on tour.
"I want to appeal to the younger generation. I want to see them get involved with opera. It's an important part of their heritage and the young people are the one who will carry it on," she said.
Mirusia actually prefers to sing "popera" as her vehicle to give the classics that younger appeal.
"Popera uses modern instruments and even a drum beat," she said.
Despite this bent, she said she performed straight opera to win the award.
